One Banana
Oct 23, 2020
There is almost nothing so banal as a banana. A near-ripe, room-temperature banana eaten hurriedly just to eat something, anything. I can think of nobody who luxuriates in a banana, but rather just gets that awful gummy, baby food textured and lightly soap-flavored thing down as soon as possible and moves on.
I find it baffling that banana-based foods are so popular — the PB&B sandwiches, the splits, the breakfast toasts, the trendy milks found in Asian grocery markets. Why would you want a more concentrated flavor of Ajax and bathwater?
